SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES

Our Nature’s Den holiday programmes give children the chance to spend their school holidays the way childhood should be - outside, exploring, creating, and connecting with nature.

Our programmes run 100% outdoors across some incredible locations, including our farm sites in Brookby and Pukekohe, as well as our beautiful nature reserve sites at Churchill Park, Little Shoal Bay, and Western Springs.

Each day is filled with adventure, discovery, and hands-on experiences in the natural world.

Children may spend their day doing any of the following:

• Climbing trees
• Building huts and shelters
• Whittling wood and using real tools
• Exploring bush trails and creeks
• Playing in the mud
• Creating nature crafts
• Completing scavenger hunts
• Cooking over the campfire
• Caring for farm animals and wildlife
• And simply enjoying the freedom of outdoor play rain or shine!

Every day is a little different, shaped by the environment, the children’s interests, and the natural opportunities that arise.

More Than Just a Holiday Programme!

Nature’s Den is about much more than just keeping kids busy during the holidays.

Our programmes are designed to help children:

• Build confidence and resilience
• Develop social skills and friendships
• Learn practical outdoor skills
• Challenge themselves in a supportive environment
• Reconnect with the natural world

Many parents tell us their children leave our programmes tired, muddy, proud of themselves, and excited to come back.

Experienced Leaders

Our holiday programmes are led by experienced Programme Leaders who are passionate about outdoor learning and supporting children’s development.

They are supported by a team of Assistants and Junior Mentors, helping create a safe, supportive, and fun environment where children can explore and thrive.
